Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Both PDFs are read and compared entirely inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How does the comparison work?
The tool compares the text extracted from each document, line by line, page by page. It shows added and removed lines — not visual or formatting differences.
What if the documents have different page counts?
Yes. Pages are paired by position: page 1 with page 1, page 2 with page 2, and so on. Extra pages in one document are shown as fully added or removed.
Why do I see no text in my scanned PDF?
Scanned or image-based PDFs contain no extractable text, so there is nothing to compare. Only PDFs with real text content can be compared.
Is there a file size limit?
Each PDF can be up to 50 MB. Comparison happens on your device, so very large documents depend on your device's memory.
