Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere when I edit it?
Yes. The editor runs entirely in your browser: your PDF is rendered, edited, and re-saved on your own device. Files are never uploaded to any server.
Can I edit the existing text in my PDF?
Click any text on the page to select it. The editor detects its font, size, and color, then lets you replace it. Because PDF fonts usually can't be extracted and reused, the replacement uses the closest built-in match — the editor tells you when this happens.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
The editor works with any standard PDF. Scanned (image-only) pages can't offer selectable text, but you can still add new text, images, highlights, and notes on top of them.
Does whiteout permanently remove content?
Whiteout covers content visually but does not securely delete the underlying data — treat it as a visual cover, not a security feature. Never use whiteout to hide sensitive information that must be truly gone.
Can I rearrange or delete pages?
Yes. Reorder, delete, rotate, duplicate, extract single pages, insert blank pages, or import pages from another PDF — all before you download the final file.
