Is my text uploaded anywhere when I generate a QR code?
No. The QR code is generated entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Your text never leaves your device and is never sent to any server.
What does the error correction level mean?
Error correction lets a QR code stay scannable even if part of it is damaged or covered. Level L recovers about 7% of the data, M about 15%, Q about 25%, and H about 30%. Higher levels make the code denser, so M is a good default for most uses.
My QR code won't scan. What can I do?
Try shortening your text, raising the error correction level, and choosing a larger size. Make sure there is strong contrast between the dark and light colors, and test the code with your phone's camera before printing.
What can I encode in a QR code?
Any text: website links, plain text, phone numbers, or email addresses. Most scanner apps recognize links automatically and offer to open them.
Should I download the PNG or the SVG?
